The Session Log has no stake in which firm a reader ends up hiring. There is no directory to buy into and no listing fee, because there is no directory.

Scope

Rather than covering everything shallowly, this section stays with one trade in one place. Narrowing the subject is the only way the detail stays accurate long enough to be useful.

How the Guides Are Written

Articles are written to be read once, before a decision. Preparation, specification, and the details that are expensive to correct afterward get the space; the rest is left out.

What Guides Cannot Do

Guides describe the general case. Site conditions, existing construction and local code can all override what is described here.
